About us

Why we built a spa on the waterfall road

Quiet meditation at dawn by the water

Kaashi is the old name of Varanasi, the city of light, the oldest living city in India. We borrowed it because it says in one word what we're trying to do: keep something ancient alive and useful in a modern place. Rishikesh gave the world yoga; the Ayurvedic therapies on our menu are older than most countries. Our job is to practise them properly, at a fair price, in a calm room ten minutes from Laxman Jhula.

The center sits on Secret Waterfall Road in Tapovan, just before Arista Haven on the cut to Tulsi Restaurant. Treatment rooms, a yoga space, and a small team: every therapist certified, most with years in five-star hotel spas like Marriott or in traditional houses like Yog Niketan. That mix is deliberate. Hotel spas teach precision and professionalism: punctuality, draping, consistency, a guest's comfort above everything. The traditional side teaches why each treatment exists and what it's actually for. A good session needs both.

We keep a few rules for ourselves. Only genuine Ayurvedic and internationally recognized therapies, nothing invented for a menu. The price on the list is the price you pay. Your therapist reads your intake notes before you arrive, and the pressure you ask for is the pressure you get. Treatments are for wellness and relaxation, not a substitute for medical care, and we'll always say so honestly if we think a doctor is who you actually need.

Most of our guests are walking distance away: travellers staying in Tapovan, yoga students mid-course, families up from the town side of Rishikesh for the day. Some come once, after the Secret Waterfall trek. Many come weekly. Either way, the kettle is on and the room is quiet.
