Welcome
A calm wellness center above the noise of Laxman Jhula
Rishikesh is not a quiet town anymore. The cafés of Tapovan are full, the road to the Secret Waterfall carries a steady line of scooters, and by evening the bridge at Laxman Jhula is shoulder to shoulder. We opened Kaashi Wellness because everyone — travellers and locals alike — needs somewhere the noise stops.
We are a full spa and massage center — treatment rooms, a yoga space, and a team of certified therapists — but we keep the pace of a much smaller place. Every therapist here is trained and certified — most came to us after years in five-star hotel spas like Marriott or in traditional houses like Yog Niketan — and every treatment on our menu is a genuine Ayurvedic or internationally recognized therapy. Nothing is rushed, and the quiet hotel-spa professionalism they trained in comes with them: on time, properly draped, exactly the pressure you asked for. When you book a 60-minute massage in Rishikesh with us, you get sixty minutes of actual work on the table — the paperwork, the changing, the tea afterwards are all extra time we build around it.
Most of our guests find us one of three ways: walking up Secret Waterfall Road past Arista Haven, a recommendation from their yoga school in Tapovan, or a search for a good spa near Laxman Jhula after a long day of travel. However you arrived, the routine is the same. We talk for five minutes about what your body needs, you tell us about injuries or conditions we should know about, and then the door closes and the hour is yours.

What we offer
Full menu with every price is on the pricing page. Here is the shape of it. All oils are prepared in-house; wintergreen, bayleaf, clove, lavender, rosemary and spearmint feature heavily, because they work.
Full body massage
Deep tissue with wintergreen oil for chronic aches. Balinese with stretches and acupressure. Swedish for muscular pain, and relaxing or energizing aromatherapy blends. The core of what we do, and what most guests searching for a massage in Tapovan are after.
Ayurveda
Abhiyanga, Shirodhara, Nasyam, the vasti therapies, Kumkumadi facial and Gharshana with freshly pounded neem and rose. Traditional preparations, traditional sequence — this is Rishikesh, and we take the Ayurveda seriously.
Premium therapies
Revitalizing Thai massage, hot stone, Potli — a hot herbal poultice pressed along the muscles — Udwarthanam, and a two-hour chakra balancing session with sound healing.
Facials
Hydrating, purifying, lightening, age-defying and healing facials for acne-prone skin. Mountain sun and road dust are hard on the face; an hour here undoes a lot of it.
Express & scrubs
Thirty-minute back, foot reflexology, and head-neck-shoulder massages when you don't have a full hour. Walnut-apricot and coffee scrubs, charcoal and sandalwood body masques.
Yoga & meditation
One-to-one sessions in asana, alignment, pranayama, Yoga Nidra and meditation. Taught properly, at your level, without thirty other mats in the room.

Shirodhara — a warm stream of stillness
A steady stream of warm herbal oil, poured slowly and continuously over the forehead. That's the whole technique, and it has been for a few thousand years. It sounds too simple to do anything. Twenty minutes in, most guests have stopped tracking time altogether.
We recommend Shirodhara to guests who sleep badly, think too much, or arrived in Rishikesh precisely because their head would not slow down anywhere else. It pairs well with Abhiyanga before it, if you want to make an afternoon of it.
- Warm herbal oil, prepared fresh for your session
- A continuous pour over the third-eye point
- Scalp and head massage to finish
- Rest and herbal tea while the oil settles
A short guide
Not sure what to book? Start here.
The menu is long, so here is how we'd steer you if you asked at the desk. If your muscles hurt — from trekking, rafting, long bus journeys or an ambitious week of yoga — book the deep tissue massage, or the Swedish if you want the relief without the elbow work. If your muscles are fine but your head is loud, that's Shirodhara territory, or the relaxing aromatherapy massage with lavender. Somewhere in between, tired but not wrecked? The Balinese massage covers the most ground: stretches, acupressure, reflexology and aromatherapy in one 60- or 90-minute session.
Short on time or budget, the ₹999 express menu is honest work, not a teaser — thirty focused minutes on your back, feet, or head, neck and shoulders. Travellers who've been carrying a backpack for weeks tend to be surprised by how much the back massage alone changes.
And if this trip is your once-a-year reset, take the 90-minute Abhiyanga or a premium therapy — hot stone, Potli, or Udwarthanam — and give yourself the full afternoon. There's a reason people come from across Rishikesh and beyond to do their wellness massage in Tapovan: the treatments are unhurried here, and the mountains do half the work.

Yoga in Rishikesh, one mat at a time
Rishikesh is the yoga capital of the world, and Tapovan is its beating heart — but big drop-in classes are not for everyone. Our yoga sessions are private. One teacher, one student (or the two of you, if you're travelling together), and a practice built around your body instead of the room's average.
The menu runs from foundational asana and alignment work — useful if a teacher has ever adjusted you in class and you didn't understand why — through pranayama and advanced pranayama with bandhas, to Yoga Nidra and seated meditation. A 75-minute asana session is ₹2,999; pranayama and meditation sessions start at ₹1,499. Many guests combine a morning yoga session with an afternoon massage; if you want to do that regularly during your stay in Rishikesh, talk to us about a package rate when you call.
Finding us
On Secret Waterfall Road, near Arista Haven
From Laxman Jhula, cross toward Tapovan and follow the road uphill past the cafés onto Secret Waterfall Road. You'll find us just before Arista Haven, on the cut that goes to Tulsi Restaurant. It's about a fifteen-minute walk from the bridge, or a five-minute scooter ride — any local driver knows Arista Haven, and Tulsi is the landmark to watch for.
The location matters more than it might seem. Being just outside the thick of Tapovan's main market means our treatment rooms are actually quiet — no horn section under the window. And if you're doing the Secret Waterfall trek, we are directly on your way back. More than a few guests have limped in with trail dust still on their shoes. That is, honestly, the ideal time for a massage: the muscles are warm, the knots are fresh, and you've earned it.
If you're staying in Rishikesh town proper, near Ram Jhula, or across the river, we're still an easy auto ride away — tell the driver Tapovan, Secret Waterfall Road. Open every day of the week, 10 AM to 8 PM, including holidays.
Questions we answer daily
Frequently asked questions
Which massage is best after trekking or a long yoga day?
Deep tissue with wintergreen oil, if you like firm pressure — it's built for sore legs and stiff backs. If you'd rather be soothed than worked on, the Swedish massage with wintergreen, bayleaf and clove reduces muscle inflammation without the intensity. Not sure? Say so when you call, and describe what hurts. We match the treatment to the body, not the other way around.
Do I need to book ahead, or can I walk in?
Walk-ins are welcome when a room is free, and on weekday afternoons one usually is. But evenings fill up, especially in season. A phone call an hour or two ahead is enough on most days: +91 95484 79582, and if that's busy, try +91 82793 29007.
How much does a massage cost at Kaashi Wellness?
Thirty-minute express massages (back, foot reflexology, or head-neck-shoulder) are ₹999. Full body massages run ₹1,999 to ₹3,499 depending on style and whether you take 60 or 90 minutes. Ayurvedic treatments start at ₹1,499, and premium therapies like hot stone and Potli are ₹2,999 to ₹3,999. The complete menu is on our pricing page — no hidden charges, and the price we quote is the price you pay. And until 30 September, your first visit is 25% off any treatment — mention the offer when you book.
Is this a genuine Ayurvedic spa?
Yes. We offer only genuine Ayurvedic and internationally recognized therapeutic services — Abhiyanga, Shirodhara, Nasyam, the vasti treatments and more, alongside Balinese, Thai, Swedish and deep tissue work. Our therapists are trained in the traditions they practise, and we'll happily explain what any treatment involves before you commit to it.
Can couples or friends book together?
Yes — tell us when you call and we'll schedule two therapists for the same slot. It's a popular option for couples staying in Tapovan and for friends doing a yoga course together who want to book a shared recovery session.
What should I expect on a first visit?
Arrive about fifteen minutes early. We'll ask about injuries, medical conditions and pressure preference — please mention any health condition, and if you're pregnant or have a medical concern, check with a doctor before booking. Disposable undergarments are provided and draping is used throughout; all therapies are strictly professional. Afterwards there's tea, and no one hurries you out the door.
Do you offer yoga for beginners?
Absolutely — private sessions are actually the best way to start, because everything gets adapted to you. A first session usually covers foundational postures and breathing, and the teacher will suggest a plan if you want to continue through your stay in Rishikesh.
I'm staying in Rishikesh for a few weeks. Do you do packages?
Yes. Yoga students on month-long courses in Tapovan, and travellers settling in near Laxman Jhula for a season, often want a standing weekly massage or a yoga-plus-massage combination. We don't print package prices because we build them around what you actually want — call us, tell us how long you're staying and what you're after, and we'll work out a fair rate.
What are your timings and cancellation rules?
We're open every day from 10 AM to 8 PM. If you need to cancel, give us at least 4 working hours' notice; later cancellations attract a 50% fee. Please keep phones on silent inside the spa, and note that guests below 16 aren't permitted and smoking and alcohol are strictly prohibited on the premises.
